Dear Duncan,

The following are the pictures chosen by you and Roger:

1.    Early Still Life (at Cambridge)
2.    Lemon Gatherers
3.    Swimmers (Borough Polytechnic)
4.    Seated Woman
5.    The Ass
6.    The Tents
7.    Design for needlework
8.    Background for Venetian Ballet
9.    Costume (Lydia Lop.)
10.    Woman in Tub
11.    Portrait of Helen Rowe
12.    Cupboard (in Maynard’s room)
13.    Tight rope walker
14.    The Carpentors [sic]
15.    Head of Eve.

In addition thers [sic] are the nine of which I sent you proofs, making 24 in all. Would you return me the 9 proofs and write on back of each the name to be appended. Could you also give the name of each of the above which is to be used in the book? And do you think you could now settle the order?

I have received three photos from Newbery, but none from Roger.

What about the cover design?
