Dear Mr. Woolf,
I have just had an inquiry from the North American Newspaper Alliance, 72 Fleet Street, E.C.4. It is with reference to the foreign rights of "Reminiscences of Tolstoi" by Gorky. I gathered from the conversation that there will be an article on the book in this week'sT.P.s[sic] Weekly, and that is why the matter is urgent.
The queries are as follows:-
1. Are the American rights available in the article?
2. How much are they likely to be?
3. How much are the world rights, if available?
4. How much are they in Finland, Holland, Hungary, Norway, Sweden, Czecho-Slovakia*1, Greece & Roumania*2?
I do hope this is clear. I said I would try to get a reply to them by tomorrow, so will you please write direct?
Yours sincerely, | Peggy Belsher [signature]
