Dear Sir,
"TALKS WITH TOLSTOI"
I enclose the MS [Manuscript] of a book and shall be obliged if you will let me have an estimate fro printing and binding in same style and on same paper as TOLSTOI'S LOVE LETTERS, except that we should prefer the Garamond to the Caslon type. The estimate should be for printing 1000 copies, for binding 500 in paper boards (paper to be supplied by us) with label on spine only, and 100 in plain cloth.
I shall be out of England from March 27 to April 27, and I shall be obliged if you will send the estimate to me addressed:
Leonard Woolf Esq
c.o. Gerald Brenan Esq
Yegen
Ugijar
Granada
Spain
If I inform you from Spain that the work can be proceeded with, would it be possible for you to set the whole book and let me have all the proofs together when I return to Richmond on April 27? It takes so long for letters to reach Ugijar and the posts are so erratic that it would be no good to send the proofs to me to Spain.
Yours faithfully | Leonard Woolf [signature]
