May 7th 1945

Dear Sirs

We return herewith with the proofs of the prelims [preliminary pages] of The Common Reader First Series and Second Series passed for Press and we also enclose the extra copy of First Series as asked for. Will you please deliver sheets to Messrs Leighton Straker of Standard Road Park Royal N.W.10 as agreed by May 15th. Please be kind enough to see that the 1200 H.M. Stationery Office copies with special problems are kept separate from our own edition so that there is no confusion at the bindery.

Yours faithfully | for The Hogar5h [sic] Press I [faded signature]
