Dear Sirs,

Thank you for your letter of August 28th enclosing a copy of one which you sent on July 14th. The latter did not reach us and the letter of August 28th took a considerable time owing to changes in address. We have been trying to get into touch with the translator of ‘Avvakum’ so far without success. We are still trying and, meanwhile, will you please send us details of the alterations you wish to make so that they can be considered by the translator and ourselves? We will let you have a decision as soon as we have got this information and can get in touch with Miss <Mirrlees>.

Yours faithfully, | for The Hogarth Press Ltd.
