Koteliansky discusses Jonathan Cape's offer [MS 2750/38/24] which he refuses and suggests a reprint. He affirms that he holds the exclusive rights to The Gentleman from San Francisco which D. H. Lawrence can confirm. He also states he does not wish to give anything to Bunin complaining that there have been American publishers that have printed 'The Gentleman' without paying him anything. He reiterates his suggestion of a reprint as a limited edition and sends greetings to both Virginia and Leonard.
