Dear Sirs

We thank you for your letter of Mauch [sic] 21 enclosing the royalty statement on THE GENTLEMAN FROM SAN FRANCISISCO. We should be much obliged if you would forward a cheque for the amount owing to us at your earliest convenience.

We have as yet received no answer from you with regard to the money due to us for TOLSTOI’S LOVE LETTERS. We cannot understand this for as we have already pointed out the money is very considerably overdue. May we ask again for a reply by return of mail [*?]*

Yours faithfully | Manager | THE HOGARTH PRESS
