Dear Madam,

I believe a few weeks ago you asked for a review copy of Three Guineas for your magazine. At the time of the request, we had sent out a great number of copies, and had formally closed the list. However, it seems to me that with you [sic] special interests concerning women you ought to have a copy, so we are stretching a point and sending you one.

In connection with Three Guineas, which as no doubt you know has had a very interesting reception from the Press, - the Times described Mrs. Woolf as "the most brilliant pamphleteer in England" and went on to say that "this brilliant and searching pamphlet might mark an epoch in the world's history - we are anxious to bring it to the special notice of every woman who is concerned with the danger of War, and also in general with the status of women, and who is not? We have, therefore, had a number of cards printed, of which I enclose a copy, and I am wondering whether you would be willing to send these out to your members, perhaps with some material of your own. We should be most grateful for any co-operation you can offer in the matter.
