Dear Sirs,

 

In reply to your letter of May 23rd, we regret that we are unable to agree to the inclusion of A Haunted House by Virginia Woolf in your anthology unless the advance fee of 50 dollars asked for in our letter of March 28th is paid. We do not consider that the pro rata payment is adequate.
