In reply to your letter of Feb 6th, Mrs Woolf will be glad for you to make the suggested quotations from To the Lighthouse in your book, The Story of English Literature. May we point out that Mrs Woolf's essays on Modern Fiction, first published in The Common Reader (1st Series) is available in the cheap edition of The Common Reader published by The Hogarth Press at 5/-. In these circumstances perhaps your reference to the subsequent publishers of the essay is unnecessary. Please do not trouble to reply on this point.
