Dear Leonard,

 

I have your letter of 29/5/47 about Pocket Books offer for the Gentleman from San Francisco. I did not know about the rights sale to Seltzer; nor do I know anything about Knopf.

 

But to make things easier, I accept your suggestion, and agree to £10.
