Dear Leys,

I shall be delighted if you allow us to publish your book, and I shall do everything possible to make it a success. I know your writing too well to make me hesitate at all, and I shall send it straight to the printer for an estimate in order not to waste time. In fact time is now very precious, especially if you have maps. So let me have the rest of the MS at once in order that it can go to the printer for the estimate. I shall, unless I hear to the contrary from you, ask him for an estimate for printing and binding in the form of the Reynolds Letters which I sent you.

As regards our meeting, I go into the country on Wednesday leaving by the 4.5 train from London Bridge. Could you come and see me before that? If not, will you come and spend the night with me at Monk's House, Rodmell, near Lewes, any day you like  You come to Lewes and I will meet you there if you let me know the train. We can then talk the whole thing over at our leisure.
