Letter from Jonathan Cape to Leonard Woolf (23/11/1933)

Library:

University of Reading, Special Collections

Jonathan Cape asks to include The Gentleman from San Francisco in The Travellers Library. He asks if Bunin can agree to Cape adding more stories to it, which have not yet been translated, as it is not yet long enough. He explains the arrangement which would consist of royalty payments of 5% to the Hogarth Press and a 5% royalty to Bunin. Cape states he will also incur the cost of translation if they are willing to accept his arrangement.
