Dear Mrs. Fernald,
Thank you for your letter of 11th of October, concerning the reprinting of Mr. Forster's article in the August number of Citadel. I am afraid, however, I am not satisfied by your reply, as a further case, equally fragrant, has just occurred. In the September number of Citadel, an article entitled "The Patron and the Crocus" by Virginia Woolf has been reprinted, and again I can find no trace of correspondence on the subject. I must request that this practice of pirating in British Council Publications, without even acknowledgements, should stop at once, or I shall have to take strong action.
