Dear Mrs. Fernald,

Thank you for your letter of 11th of October, concerning the reprinting of Mr. Forster's article in the August number of Citadel. I am afraid, however, I am not satisfied by your reply, as a further case, equally fragrant, has just occurred. In the September number of Citadel, an article entitled "The Patron and the Crocus" by Virginia Woolf has been reprinted, and again I can find no trace of correspondence on the subject. I must request that this practice of pirating in British Council Publications, without even acknowledgements, should stop at once, or I shall have to take strong action.

Yours faithfully,

Lehmann is dissatisfied with a previous response and accuses the British Council of further piracy, this time in regard to printing Virginia Woolf's The Patron and the Crocus. He threatens further action if the practice continues.
