Spencer Curtis Brown, Esq.,
6, Henrietta St. W.C.2.

3rd April, 1941.

Dear Curtis Brown,

Many thanks for your note of the 31st March. I have had several notes from Ali myself, with rather confused instructions about publicity in India, and assurances of enormous orders which never materialise. I should be very glad indeed to do anything I can for the book out there, but I have not had a leaflet printed as yet partly because the authorities seem rather to frown on leaflet distribution, and partly because I have never found it the slightest use printing a leaflet for a first book until one had some reviews for it. I have, however, earmarked some paper for this purpose and am considering drawing up a leaflet purely for the Indian market. What do you think?

Yours sincerely,
