Dear Miss Burch:

I am writing today to Mr. Woolf to acknowledge receipt of the proofs of THE CAPTAIN’S DEATH BED and to send him an agreement. I understand that you now plan to publish the book during the spring, and we are proposing also to go ahead with its production with a view to spring publication. When the time comes, will you please be sure to let us have word of your exact publication date and to send us two copies of your edition very promptly so that we may have them for copyrighting purposes?

Yours sincerely, | Donald Brace [signature]
